swedish model 1896 mauser wood stock w matching handguard nice burling sweden

Description

one original swedish model 1896 mauser rifle wood ( I think its maple,fairly hefty) stock with matching handguard,no metal other than the front and middle band springs and the nosecap,just the wood,nice medium red brown color wood, had some type of stock plaque over the disk area at some time.possibly maple or arctic birch,very nice grain and burling.Stock has some minor wear,not perfect,but imminently servicable,can be refinished,but I would leave it as is,good example of an issue general service stock.excellent opportunity to upgrade a shooter,or build a collector,see my other listings for more swedish 1896 and 1938 mauser rifle parts and accessories
